I am guilty of writing in my books, underlining, note-taking, even drawing in the margins.
I have always wanted to collect those underlined sections, lyrical brilliance or prose knowledge, in particular books whose ideas range many topics. I didn’t know a way to bind those written guides for my work, and life, together in a coherent way.
Thanks to a beautiful conversation with @RonChernow , I was enlightened—“that is called a Commonplace Book,¨ he told me.
Our forefathers used Commonplace books to compile knowledge, now from my own readings I will too.
